Were you there when the fog rolled in,
eating away; quickly and silently
I set aside a week for sleeping
and never got around to
showering or eating
I filled up with a poison
and watched the fog take hold
did you see the sunshine, the clouds
and the aeroplanes
do little to fight back the fog
a stomach full of medication
and still I could sleep
for a week
