Leaning on the windowpane
a childhood spent getting
burnt, fearing the worst
being cared for is a case of
money, safety, satiety
rather than love
rather than abandonment
and staying with a neighbour
being cared for is not drinking
being passed out on the floor
breaking windowpanes
and childhoods
