Are you who I am?
Do you understand?
Can you hear it – still
I am a universe, and
a galaxy, I am all but
infinity. It’s easier as
I grow older, and I have
less people to tell
not that I did, at all
I hadn’t an excuse
for my shouting and
violence, kicking and
screaming, I had rage
a child needn’t know.
I was the villain, and
I am the sickness
blame me – the helpless
I am a universe and I
am an adult. Stunted,
perhaps, by violence
but an adult
after all
