51.

These violent delights have violent ends
and you’ve yet to quell that rage, dear
lost yourself ten years, beloved friends
as if you ever loved a soul
more than you loved to be left alone

and when you die, when you finally go
remember the years you stayed inside
and never learned to make a home
curled up inside books and bars
but a grave for one, a life alone
won’t get you that far

  1. That leaves me weeping. Maybe I need to?

  2. I like how you start off with a brief line from Romeo and Juliet, but then turn it into something different with the rest. Not to say that R&J wasn’t meaningful, you still found a good meaning for it.

  3. I’m glad i came across your blog. Your posts are so relatable, discovering your blog slowly :))
